The New Jersey Electronic Life Safety Association (NJELSA) is thrilled to announce the launch of its new apprenticeship program, which has recently received federal approval. This comprehensive three-year, six-semester program offers paid on-the-job training and learning opportunities, setting the stage for apprentices to build rewarding careers in the electronic life safety industry.
Graduates of the program will walk away with the following highly recognizable certifications:
WorkHands builds products that make apprenticeship simpler. Apprenticeships should rival college in the United States, but they don’t, nor will they ever, unless the system is simpler. lt’s our mission to make that possible!
This includes a tracking application used by over 600+ apprenticeship programs, the open-source apprenticeship standards at ApprenticeshipStandards.org, best practices content and newsletters, and the Community to make it easier to promote and find apprenticeships nationwide.
As a solution for the lack of skilled maintenance technicians in the industry, we created Pro U. This program is a United States D.O.L. Journeyman Maintenance Apprenticeship where we train students to become IRTs (Industrial Reliability Technicians). Once training is complete, these techs funnel into our Pro FMT® division.
This program starts with 14 weeks of in-house classroom, laboratory, and hands-on experience at our training center in Portage, Michigan, followed by on-the-job training at a client facility.
After completion of the two-year program, apprentices are awarded their Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman Card.
Pro Services is a licensed State of Michigan Proprietary Training Institution.
