Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

Ennoble First is hiring a Systems Engineer to support our cutting-edge DoD contract. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This System Engineer position will support the NextGen OPIR program in all phases of development. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the derivation, update and maintenance of flight software requirements and interface documentation and support for the software verification test team for the NextGen OPIR program. This team is also responsible for working with the flight software team to hold or support the series of review from program start through the Critical Design Review (CDR).

Required Skills: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience - Mid-level and Senior level openings
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience with flight software requirements, design and development, systems engineering, or spacecraft development engineering experience 
  • Must have familiarity with spacecraft subsystems, hardware, telemetry, command & control
  • Ability to work and interact with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers
  • Final Secret clearance for 20% of the openings

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience with IBM DOORS, Git, Redmine, UML, Modeling tools such as Rhapsody, Cameo, or Teamwork
  • Experience with Clear Quest
  • Previous Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) or OPIR specific experience
  • Project scheduling
  • Earned Value Management
  • Experience with Metrics development and tracking
  • TS/SCI preferred for cleared openings
