More Details About the Role


The HR Business Partner is the primary consultant to the President/CEO/CEO and Plant Manager on all Human Resource issues. Consulting occurs in identifying Human Resource needs for the organization, planning to meet those needs, hiring, development, training of human resources team, administration of the HR contracts, organizational structure and educational assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Manages and provides counsel to the human resource department issues and is the primary liaison to the Plant Manager and President/CEO/CEO.
  2. Directs the development of personnel needs plan for the department based on growth in business, product changes, service expectations, and employee career development. Advises and coordinates the pre-hiring, rotation, job evaluation and promotional processes.
  3. Monitors the hiring needs of the organization in order to properly identify job qualifications in selecting the best-qualified employees.
  4. Maintains department personnel records and directs the initiation of personnel action forms including the monitoring of salary administration for the department. Leads the management of merit distributions.
  5. Effective management of the Department Operations and Staffing Budget.
  6. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communication or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Understanding of Golden Aluminum company products and/or services.
  • Three to five years of experience managing staff with demonstrated skills in coaching, development, hiring and HR administration.
  • Knowledge of Operations and Staffing Budgets.
  • Five to eight years relevant work experience needed to learn basic job duties.
  • Nine to twelve years of relevant work experience needed to fully perform all aspects of job.
