MOSAIC is seeking an Facilities Office Engineer who will plan and implement the design of plants, offices and production lines in order to maximize the use of available space and improve production efficiency.  This candidate will support the evaluation and metrics department with doing researches production/processing equipment or fixtures for purchase and gathers data relating to support and meet the organizational needs.  Estimates costs related to infrastructure condition assessment with layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc. This candidate will travel to buildings and conducting building surveys gathering the infrastructure condition assets and data inputting into the system. 


Job Responsibilities:

Assists Government facilities project managers in: 

  • Planning, coordinating and preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications, and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure government contract requirements are met
  • Reviewing contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of construction projects, apply knowledge of engineering, construction, and manufacturing processes

  • Scheduling due dates for drawings, specifications, technical manuals, red-lines, as-builts, and other documents

  • Reviewing and verifying project documentation for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements

  • Confers with Government facilities project managers, engineers, managers, and others to discuss project, prepare documents, or establish schedules

    Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in working in close collaboration with engineers and construction coordinators in managing facilities construction or major repair by replacement projects
  • Experience in construction inspection required with knowledge of civil engineering technology , construction terminology, and current engineering methodologies. 
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of the administrative systems and methodologies as they apply to project filing systems, document control, and control of Request for Information (RFI). 
  • Understanding of the construction permitting process. 
  • Understanding of budget control and historical cost estimating. 
  • Knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI) principles. 
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
