Job Role:

This position is a DDC Controls programmer.

 The right candidate will have excellent technical skills and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. This person must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must also possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to analyze a variety of problems and work independently. This position requires mature judgment and initiative. Time management and organizational skills are also essential.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, networking, programming, starting-up and commissioning our automation system installations.  Technical troubleshooting of electrical circuits, mechanical equipment and systems, field devices, various network protocols and computer software interfaces are all regular duties performed by our DDC programmers.  Effective and discriminate use of time and resources is a critical component of success in this position.  Completing any and all related paperwork in a timely and professional manner is a must. 

Qualifications

  • Must have a passion for HVAC systems and enjoy a hands-on approach to producing high quality BMS systems.
  • Extensive Experience in HVAC systems
  • Extensive Experience in Building Management System programming.
  • Experience in HVAC and controls systems operations, maintenance, and repair
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical systems blue prints
  • Ability to read and interpret temperature control drawings and electrical schematics
  • Must have a current valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail and numerical aptitude
  • Ability to use a laptop PC at a high-level.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • 2-year degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, DDC controls or related field or 5 years’ experience in the same.
  • Ability to read and interpret product manufactures instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience in how to operate and work on medium and low-pressure class boiler systems 
  • Experience in how to operate and work on refrigeration systems
  • Experience in Systems Integration and open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.)
  • Has a working understanding of IP networks.  (IP Subnets, Routing, NAT, & Firewalls)
  • Experience with Andover Continuum, IA, or Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation preferred.
